Description:
My research interests include: 1) convective instabilities in fluids and their receptivity to different kinds of disturbances. 2) analysis of the linear and nonlinear development of global instabilities with the aid of adjoint equations. 3) elliptic and hyperbolic instabilities 4) non-Newtonian fluids 5) development of efficient numerical methods for the Navier-Stokes equations and the solution of large eigenvalue problems 6) Immersed Boundary methods for the solution of PDEs in complex domains.
