OVERVIEW

The "Laboratorio Simulazioni Socio - Economiche Complesse" [Laboratory for the Simulation of Complex Socio-economic Systems] aims to bring together people interested in the development of simulative methodologies and the analysis of complex socio- economic phenomena.

Current research into social life is tending to make increasing use of computer-based simulations in the attempt to describe, predict and interpret complex real-world phenomena.

Among the primary purposes of the laboratory is to facilitate interdisciplinary research (on topics of relevance to economics, finance, law, physics, engineering, cognitive psychology, anthropology, artificial intelligence, etc.) and the organisation of tutorials, seminars and lectures in order to disseminate information about simulation techniques and how they may be applied.
